Erica Louise Richards is best known in Atlanta as "Rica G.," the lyricist or "Miss Rica," the educator. Prior to graduating from Georgia Tech in 2015 with a B.S. in History, Technology, & Society, she studied Electrical & Computer Engineering for two years. That combination led Erica Louise to a unique intersection between social awareness and STEM. Her passion for Hip Hop Based Computer Science Education was formed in the time between her experience as undergraduate research assistant with the Music Technology Department's EarSketch team and her time working with the College of Computing's outreach program, the I3 Experience.

Since 2016, Erica Louise has facilitated several youth workshops around the theme of Hip Hop and coding. Currently, she teaches K-6 Computer Science at the Kindezi School. She is also the founder and CEO of the Cultivating Young People Harnessing Energy and Respect (CYPHER) Program, Inc. Through CYPHER, she teaches Hip Hop as a life skill to students of all ages
